I am interested in your comment "She offers some examples of arbitration under Alberta’s New Home Warranty arbitration process." Can you tell me where to find such examples or how to contact her?

Brian, Thanks for your comments.

You might also be interested in the comment filed by Leslie Morris in response to one of my recent posts on arbitration: "Arbitration for the Quick and Final Resolution of Disputes? Hardly." She offers some examples of arbitration under Alberta's New Home Warranty arbitration process.

Jonnette, you were right in your assessment, the Supreme Court decided today on Alanridges appeal and dismissed it with costs.

We are proceeding now with collection of costs as Alanridge has refused to pay any awarded to date and reinitiate our Alberta court proceedings against Alanridge et al.

See:

http://www.scc-csc.gc.ca/case-dossier/cms-sgd/dock-regi-eng.aspx?cas=33477

Do you know if the the Seidel v. Telus Communications SCC case and decision will have any impact on our case if decided differently?

Regards,
Brian Lamb

AlanRidge filed leave to appeal the Alberta Court of Appeal decision to the Supreme Court of Canada in mid-December 2009. I would be very surprised if that court did grant leave; the percentage of successful leave applications in civil matters is small and the court is already scheduled to hear a related appeal in Seidel v. Telus Communications Inc.
